A plan...


Well hubby's home!! And Snuffy's definitely happy he's home ;)

We've started a notebook keeping track of what he eats, drinks, exercise, total fat, cholesterol etc.... which he can take with him to dr's, dieticien etc ;)

Since he's going to cardio rehab he will be visiting a dietician and will be doing the stress tests etc i thought it would be a good idea to keep everything written down. Now because he's already with a mental health community agency they are having their nurses come once a week starting on monday and they will monitor his pulse, blood pressure etc... Which is great because it will take some stress off of him i think.

But you know what i find the hardest?? I'm making out a daily menu for hubs so that he knows what he can have for snacks and meals while i'm at work. Now that's not the hard part, the hardest part i find it trying to come up enough food for the cals they say he should be eating!! How weird is that??

  1. how about some healthy fats like PB, olive oil, nuts.......that should bump up the calories pretty fast

  3. YEAH! He's home! I think the journal for eating and exercise is a great idea! I would also keep a record of doctors visits...writing a short snyopsis of what they say, recommend and whatnot at the doctors visists. That may come in handy later also!

  4. I agree about the healthy fats. My dad had bypass surgery a couple of years ago. Since then, he's focused on eating mono- and polyunsaturated fats. He's never been healthier and his cholesterol is under 100.
