I'm still here...

Sorry i've been missing the last few days. I haven't been feeling well and i've just been eating what i feel like when i feel like eating (it hadn't been much up until yesterday) and i truly had a very stressful week. What with the newspaper interview, giving a  speech in front of many and my health news!! What have i learned??

As far as eating, although going extreme low carb was great for not having any cravings, it also meant i had little to no appetite. Which may sound great but when you're having to force yourself to even eat a little because you know you much eat something it's not so great after a while. And at the end of two weeks of eating this way i had a very dry mouth even though i was drinking 8 cups of water a day and i was very light headed. So although this may work for some i just cannot see myself living this way.

I felt sick!! I didn't feel like my normal self. No energy no want to do anything!! That is just not me. Now i did still go out with my walking group but i had to force myself. Now i'm in the process of trying to get back to normal.

I went for some major blood tests this week so i'm just waiting for the results.

And i'm blogging again :) Never fear i kept reading all your blogs i just wasn't in the right frame of mind to blog.

So i'm back :) The old me!!

And in case anyone is interested i was in the paper and here it is! Although i look awful and i did have to have the interview when i was feeling really bad.

Very nice write up in the paper!

I've always wondered how people do these diets that totally (or almost totally) eliminate some aspect from their diet. (such as the carbs). You need some balance. My husband tried a low carb diet a few years back when it was really invogue to do. He made it two weeks and in his words, "I was as grouchy as a bear with a sore ass".

Balance is the key!

What a terrific program that is. I don't think the picture is awful at all. Thanks for linking to it!
