It's question time :)

Once again it's that time of the week :) My favorite thing to do is to ask you questions!

1. what are some of your favorite snacks??

2. What is your favorite way to exercise?

3. What is on your kitchen counter, besides a kettle, that you use a lot??

5. If you were to tell someone one major thing that you do to help make you healthy what would it be?

  1. 1. what are some of your favorite snacks?? Vanilla yogurt with strawberries, blueberries & granola

    2. What is your favorite way to exercise? Hiking with my dog

    3. What is on your kitchen counter, besides a kettle, that you use a lot?? Food scale & Coffee machine.

    4. Do you keep track of the amount of water you drink per day? Yes to a point (once I hit 8 glasses I stop counting)

    5. If you were to tell someone one major thing that you do to help make you healthy what would it be? Portion control

    almonds, popcorn, and, lately, strawberries dipped in a drizzle of sugar-free chocolate syrup.

    2. What is your favorite way to exercise?

    I like all forms, but walking is my absolute favorite. It's good exercise for the mind as well as the body. :)

    3. What is on your kitchen counter, besides a kettle, that you use a lot??

    A jar of peanut butter and a basket of fruit. Beyond that, nothing.

    4. Do you keep track of the amount of water you drink per day?

    Not consistently, but if you're going to nag about it... :)

    5. If you were to tell someone one major thing that you do to help make you healthy what would it be?

    Don't try to change everything at once, especially if you're working on correcting a whole lifetime of bad habits.

  3. 1. Snacks: String Cheese, Trader Joe's eggwhite salads (only 2 points!), One egg in a hole cut in one pice of toast fried in olive oil spray
    2. Pilates classes and work out machines while listening to very cheesy pop music :)
    3. Nothing, but you should see how small my counter is!
    4. Loosely in my head.
    5. Be honest with yourself about what and how much you're really eating. I used to have no track Saturdays and didn't count samples etc. You're not cheating anyone but yourself!

  4. 1. what are some of your favorite snacks?? ultra thin deli sliced meat wrapped around the most salad greens possible. Five of these for 100 calories.


    2. What is your favorite way to exercise?
    Dancing (in the living room when no one is looking)


    3. What is on your kitchen counter, besides a kettle, that you use a lot??
    Brita water pitcher, cutting board, knives, coffee pot, canisters.


    4. Do you keep track of the amount of water you drink per day?
    Not very well


    5. If you were to tell someone one major thing that you do to help make you healthy what would it be?
    Avoid stress

    Dance classes, walking and hiking

    You crack me up with the kettle assumption! I do have a kettle, but it is a fairly recent acquisition and I still don't use it as much as I'd like. Brita water filter, basket of fruit, liquid hand soap.


    4. Do you keep track of the amount of water you drink per day?
    Not really, but I do drink a lot.


    5. If you were to tell someone one major thing that you do to help make you healthy what would it be?
    Get more sleep.

    ff cottage cheese w/ p.b. and apple

    biking fast in high gear

    3. What is on your kitchen counter, besides a kettle, that you use a lot??
    small pan for my morning omelet, fruit bowl, measuring cups

    4. Do you keep track of the amount of water you drink per day?
    yes!
    1.5 liters of water with each meal
    X's 5 meals
    = alot of water!

    5. If you were to tell someone one major thing that you do to help make you healthy what would it be?
    Eliminate as much processed foods and unnatural sugar as possible. Just because it says Kashi or some other "healthy" brand, doesn't mean it doesn't have any sugar!

    4. Do you keep track of the amount of water you drink per day? try to get 8 cups a day

    5. If you were to tell someone one major thing that you do to help make you healthy what would it be? Baby steps one small thing at a time can help make a big difference :)

  9. yay! Question time!
    1. PB2 with an apple or two. baby carrots. popcorn!

    2. I love the elliptical machine! Also, free weights are way better than machines.


    3. Food scale. I portion out everything! Also my cutting board and a veggie steamer.


    4. yep. I make sure I drink 64 ounces, and then I stop counting.

    5. I make sure to sleep. I literally go to bed at 8 pm. I realize this is probably too early, and I need to make an effort to stay up a bit later. But I really like getting up early and working out.

  10. 1. Snacks? Frozen Cherries, a Chocolate Protein Smoothie with Frozen Banana's and a little bit of peanut butter.

    2. Lately the recumbent bike. Keeps my back out of it.

    3. My toaster, my bullet blender

    4. Nah

    5. Be kind to yourself and focus on what you did right! :)

  11. I came over here to ask YOU questions! Haha! Okay, I'll answer yours, then you answer mine.

    1. i love to snack on grapefruit more than any other food.

    2. biking & aqua aerobics are tied for 1st place.

    3. i use my toaster for my Ezekiel bread...YUM!

    4. unfortunately, i usually drink no water at all. yeah, i know.

    5. even if you screw up, it's one isolated incident. never give up the quest to eat well and be more active. it's not a one shot deal. it's the rest of your life.

    Okay, now my question: when you do weights, what types of exercises do you do? I struggle with this a lot.

  12. 1. what are some of your favorite snacks?? low-fat string cheese and 100 calorie bag of microwave popcorn, Fiber One Vanilla yogurt/1 c. frozen blueberries/1 T. chopped walnut parfait

    2. What is your favorite way to exercise? taking walks outside

    3. What is on your kitchen counter, besides a kettle, that you use a lot?? toaster

    4. Do you keep track of the amount of water you drink per day? Yes. I have a one gallon pitcher that I fill with water and drink all of it almost every day.

    5. If you were to tell someone one major thing that you do to help make you healthy what would it be? I keep track of my calories each day.

    walking or dancing or step aerobics

    George Forman grill & toaster oven

    loosely. I fill my kettle and drink it all day, and refill it at least once. It's 1.7 litres.

    5. If you were to tell someone one major thing that you do to help make you healthy what would it be?

    Failing to plan is planning to fail.

    1. What are some of your favorite snacks? Almonds, Fage yogurt with frozen blueberries, hummus

    2. What is your favorite way to exercise? Biking outside

    3. What is on your kitchen counter, besides a kettle, that you use a lot? Coffee maker, Splenda, Spike, pepper, True Lemon shaker (I put lemon on everything!)

    4. Do you keep track of the amount of water you drink per day? Sort of, I use a 20 oz refillable bottle and try to keep track of how many I drink during the day

    5. If you were to tell someone one major thing that you do to help make you healthy what would it be? Exercise - pick one thing you love so you'll stick with it.

  15. 1. Low fat, organic vanilla yogurt with slivered almonds, blueberries & either blackberries or raspberries. I also like Newman's Own pretzels, Lesser Evil Kettle Corn & popcorn. Lightly salted dry roasted peanuts, too ... apples ... I think that's it now.

    2. I keep it mixed up - weights 2x a week, aerobics - 2x short, 1x long, yoga and pilates.

    3. Coffee maker, microwave, organic aanola spray, garlic powder, sea salt, pepper grinder and assorted herbs & spices that were recently used.

    4. No. I drink when I'm thirsty.

    5. Exercise. Organics. Less red meat.

    4. Do you keep track of the amount of water you drink per day? Yes. It's probably still not enough, but I've got from almost nothing to at least a litre.

    5. If you were to tell someone one major thing that you do to help make you healthy what would it be? Everything in moderation. Stop dieting.
