Presents!!

After reading so many american blogs where they are getting all kinds of freebies to review/give away i was starting to feel bad for my followers because we really are never offered anything! Well i decided after being approached by NORU to offer some free decks of workout cards (which still have not come by the way) to take matters into my own hands and contact quaker canada to ask if it would be possible to have them donate some goodies for me to review/give away :) And they got straight back to me and said no problem!! Oh and they also said that in the future if there are any new products coming out they would try to send us some.

So i've been waiting patiently and wednesday got an e-mail that there would be a package arriving the next day. So first thing in the morning there was a box delivered with these goodies in them:

The oats both quick and large flake i'm going to use for oatmeal and some protein pancakes and review the results and post my honest opinion on my thoughts. In fact i have some banana/chocolate chip protein pancakes on the menu tomorrow, stay tuned!  Oh and they sent some awesome recipes as well :) The other thing i'd like to review is oatbran so i think i may pick some of that up with my groceries.

So thanks to quaker oats canada i have a box of weight control maple and brown sugar flavor instant oats to give away and a box of reduced sugar apples and cinnamon instant oats to give away. I will also include copies of some recipes that they sent me.

So i will have two winners :) All you have to do is leave me a comment and tell me your favorite way to eat oats. And no it doesn't matter where you are! I will pick two winners on Monday April 20 at 8:00 pm.

  2. Look at you going for it and getting it! That's awesome!

I love oatmeal with ground flax, wheat germ, agave nectar, and blueberries. Sometimes I throw in some walnuts!

  5. cool! I cook my old fashioned oats with a little oj or apple juice and add some walnuts. The juice makes the oats slightly sweet!

  6. Sounds like a cool give away. I'm pround of you for taking the lead and calling Quacker. Personally, I only eat McCann's Steel Cut oats. It take them a long time to cook but so worth it.

    Have a great weekend.

  7. Good for you! I always wondered why many giveaways are only offered to participants here in the States, but after being approached by some companies offering stuff, they explained that it is just too expensive to ship overseas or Canada.

As far as the oats go, I'm "trying" to love it! Unfortunately, I only do when I doctor it up with a whole bunch of stuff which ends up making it too caloric to bother! LOL!

  8. Oh, I love anything oaty and think these products look fantastic. I am in the UK, so don't include me in the draw, but I will be looking out for more Quakery goodness in my supermarket in future!

  9. Anything Quaker makes has been a family favorite for years. Even my grown up children and Quaker-eaters. No need to count me in on the give away, I'm already a Quaker Buyer and user. As a matter of fact, my granddaughter and I made oatmeal-fruit bars while she was visiting.

  12. Wow, good on you for contacting Quaker! And good on Quaker for coming through!

I eat oatmeal everyday for breakfast. I cook it with milk instead of water, and add cinnamon, ground flax, and blueberries. Yum!

  13. I love mine mixed with peanut butter and honey and rolled into balls and the refrigerated. One tiny ball is a high-calorie treat, but it's also a high protein bite to have when your experiencing low blood sugar or you need something to hold you over until later.
