1. What is the strangest present you've ever been given??

  1. 1)When I was a teenager my dad went to Mexico and brought me back a purse made out of a coconut with a little girls face painted on it. Weirdest, worst, and ugliest gift ever...I kept it!! I still pull it out for a laugh!!

    2)I didn't have alot of leftovers, but we had hot open faced tofurky sandwiches with leftovers.

    3)Some type of crackers w/laughing cow or a smoothie...If were talking healthy;)

    4)Biggest Goal for the year is continue to working on getting healthy and lose weight and excercise!

    5)Finishing our out door reno's (decks)

  2. Happy Almost New Year!!
    1. A re-gifted Rotary Club pen set from my aunt and uncle.
    2. Turkey enchiladas and French Dip sandwiches.
    3. Popcorn
    4. Doing reflections this year. I end up breaking my resolutions by Jan. 10.
    5. Beginning this health journey. AND meeting all of the wonderful bloggers (Such as yourself) along the way.

  3. 1.It wasn't a weird gift, it was just something that I really didn't want: a bird. I cried and my aunt and uncle took it back. I don't remember what they got me instead.

    2. Didn't do any Christmas cooking so no leftovers.

    3.Walnuts.

  4. 1. Hmmm...I was given a weird picture frame once from my grandma. I can't remember what it said, but it really wasn't something a 22 year old would EVER pick out

  5. 1. A lime green wallet with a little girl and the word "Princess" embroidered on it. I was like 35 years old when I got this.

    2. Turkey noodle soup.

    3. Cheddar cheese with a sliced apple.

    1. What is the strangest present you've ever been given?? I was given a present one year and it kind of looked like an ashtray but wasn't and we could never figure out what it actually was :)

    2. What dishes do you make from your leftovers over the holidays?-I'm making some curried turkey salad this week from leftover turkey.

    3. What is your favorite snack?-I think yesterdays, a banana sliced with a dob of peanut butter and a drizzle of sf chocolate syrup!!

    4. Are you making any new year's resolutions/goals?? Care to share??I think my goal this year is to keep up with my healthy living lifestyle changes i have made and i would love to get more organized.

    5. What is the one thing that you that your proud of doing in 2009? That i changed my outlook from having to lose weight to having to get healthy!

  7. 1. What is the strangest present you've ever been given?? Can't think of anything strange right off hand.

    2. What dishes do you make from your leftovers over the holidays? Don't usually have many leftovers since we go to everyone else's house to eat.

    3. What is your favorite snack? yogurt with some raw oatmeal mixed in.

    4. Are you making any new year's resolutions/goals?? Care to share?? Don't really have any. I'd like to continue on doing what I'm doing. Definitely need to get back to my goal weight.

    5. What is the one thing that you that your proud of doing in 2009? Exercising regularly and trying something new (P90X)

    2. I love dinner sammies with turkey, cranberry sauce, and stuffing!

    3. A latte

    4. I have quite a few, probably a 1/2 marathon

    fishing pole and second runner up... turtleneck sweater... who gives a fat kid a turtleneck??

    2. What dishes do you make from your leftovers over the holidays?

    well, I would make soup and sandwiches, but we had not leftovers this year! (yay!)

    3. What is your favorite snack?

    Crackers... but I don't get those anymore. Now its grapes!

    4. Are you making any new year's resolutions/goals?? Care to share??

    Trying to get a list together, but just working on what I have set at the moment - running M/W/F and keeping my food diary.

    5. What is the one thing that you that your proud of doing in 2009?

    Finally getting through my US immigration malarkey and moving me and all my stuff to Houston! That was a job and a half.

    1.. What is the strangest present you've ever been given??

    Cannot recall anything strange.

    2. What dishes do you make from your leftovers over the holidays?

    Turkey sandwiches, not this year though, didn't cook a thing over the holiday, was spoilt by 2 great SIL's

    3. What is your favorite snack?

    Laughing Cow Triangles and Melba Toast.

    4. Are you making any new year's resolutions/goals?? Care to share??

    Not sure yet, resolutions get broken.

    5. What is the one thing that you that your proud of doing in 2009?

    One thing..easy peasy, joining Blogland and meeting so many FABULOUS people, such as yourself.
    I have learnt so much, been humbled by others struggles. I have been inspired by others triumphs. I have been encouraged and cajolled along my journey but some very loving and caring friends I probalbly will never meet. That makes me Very Proud of human kind.

  11. 1. A car. Not so strange, but it was given to me on the condition I got a job to help pay for it. Again, not so strange. My dad crashed it before I got a job. I got a crashed car.

    2. Sandwiches! That's all I want from them :D

    3. No idea! haha.

    2. We usually just eat the leftovers as is. I will make pea soup from the hambone. I make a turkey soup from the turkey carcass. Boy, that sounds appetizing. lol

    3. popcorn or an apple with a handful of nuts

    4. No. I keep striving to do better.

    5. I have a long list that I will be posting next week. :) 2009 was a great year.

  13. 1. A Guy Lombardo album. I told my grandmother I'd like an album for Christmas when I was 12. I'd never even heard of him!

    2. We had tamales this year so that's what we've been eating - for days :)

    3. Greek yogurt with blueberries and ground flax seeds.

    4. To continue to be more active. And volunteer in some capacity.

    5. For losing weight with a different attitude this time.
