Sometimes getting up early is half the battle!

Yes half my battle for a healthy day is just waking up a little earlier. Take this morning for instance i woke up early, got caught up on the computer while eating a bowl of oats.

Planned my food for the day. Went on an hours walk. Home in time for a healthy lunch. I'm going to lift a few weights, then i'm going to get ready for work.

When i sleep in i eat whatever i can get quickly (usually isn't healthy). I plonk myself in the computer chair and don't generally move until i have to get ready for work! It really does come down to choices that we make for ourselves.

I put spinach in my smoothie this morning! Going to take the kids for a walk this afternoon!

If I'm tired and/or rushed, I have to be really careful not to make bad food choices.

I am going to NOT feel guilty about just wanting to laze about the house today. I feel under the weather physically and need a rest. Besides, it's raining down here today. I will make healthy food choices. Maybe a relaxing walk later if the weather clears up.

Definitely enjoy your rest day :) We all need those. But me, i'd make everyday a rest day if i could!!

Timing is everything for me as well- and I LOVE the pics of flowers ! Today I am sticking to my plan, got in a walk and I am working n preparation for tomorrow. We have a treat on the weekend, and now that I am gluten free I cannot indulge in the once a week bakery thing. I am making rice pudding to have at the ready for this.

I packed a healthy lunch today, and I'm going to the gym after work. It's so sunny and nice outside, I'd rather do something outside. I always love your photos!!!

Now that I'm working nights, my early mornings be gone. Mmmm. Reminds me I haven't had lunch yet.

Today I ate really healthily so I feel good about that.

Yes getting up early is the only way for me, if I sleep in, I am sluggish all day... I am definately more of an early bird than a last night lady

I get up at 4 am....Army habit, I guess...
I take my time, and get sooooo
much done.....mentally, that is.
I never sleep past 6 am unless I am sick or dead or something.....
