First day of my weekend and busy
Yes Monday is the first day of my weekend since i work all weekends!
Today i started by having to get up a little early because i had a meeting at the place i volunteer and since i'm the chairperson of the meeting i figured i'd better get my butt moving.
Since i was going anyway i figured i'd get off the bus a little early and get some walking time in :)
After the meeting it was jump on the bus then jump off again to pick up some groceries (we do have to eat you know), then it was time to dust Fred off and head out on a bike ride. We rode to a mall to do some looking around (more steps) and then stopped for a cup of java before riding Fred home again. Really starting to love bike riding and believe you me i never thought i'd say that.
Tonights plan is for bbq'd steak, caesar salad and a glass of wine!
Altogether a great first day off work
**Hardest day this week is going to be Sunday when i'm going to a friends parents house to help celebrate my friends birthday and they're ordering Chinese food. I'm hoping they'll have some dishes with lots of veggies. I'm going to try to just have a little of a few things but her mother is one of those people that absolutely pushes food on you :( But i can also be strong. Oh and i guess i'll drink lots of water after!
Delicious tip of the day: When my favorite light eggnog is on sale(my kind doesn't need refrigeration) i stock up and freeze it in an ice cube tray. I measure 2 tbsp and when i want a chai tea or an egg nog coffee i just add it frozen and it's really a nice treat.

Wow I like the frozen egg nog thing. I am going to have to try it. I am also in love with riding my bike and I can not hardly wait to get back on it. Tell Fred Merlin says hello..
My grandmother is the same; she's a feeder! It is her personal duty to ensure that everyone is well fed!
Luckily I have a sizeable appetite :)
That is a great idea about the eggnog!
I used to feel bad refusing food, but I don't anymore. I just politely say no thank you and try to move on.
I am sure there are going to be lots of veggies though - fingers crossed!
i love looking at your photos every day :)
My mother is the mom in Big Fat Greek wedding.
my Mom - You hungry?
my SIL - no, I'm good thanks.
Mom - Ok- I fix you a plate.
Steak and caesar salad sounds great! Very similar to our supper: steak salad + a very small glass of red wine. Yummy.
Happy weekend! I always love your photos!
Eggnog sounds yummy! Photos are great!
Hey! There's an award for you on my blog. :D Deb
