Question day is back again :)


My favorite day of the week is here again!

1. When your eating what do you usually eat first: veggies, carbs or protein??

2. What would be your perfect dinner?

3. What is the one thing you did just for you this week?

4. Do you still mail letters/cards to people or do you do it online?

5. Did you try a new food/ingredient this week? If not have you always wanted to try something but haven't?

    I am focusing on that perfect dinner and bound and determined to (throw the child at the MIL and) make it happen tonight!!

  3. Is it Wednesday again already??
    Where is the time going??
    1. I always dig into the protein first (I'm part cavewoman!)
    2. Perfect dinner? Italian or Japanese...and definitely cooked by someone other than me
    3. One thing I did for myself? Painted my toenails bright pink and made coffee (the only coffee drinker in our house)
    4. I still mail regular cards to all my family (when I am in North America...can't mail ANYTHING from Russia). Letter-writing is sketchy, except to my 90 year-old grandmother. She's not on e-mail :)
    5. I cooked couscous for the first time this week...it was unbelievably easy!

    2. What would be your perfect dinner? roast beef, roasted potatoes and veggies and brocoli, apple crumble

    3. What is the one thing you did just for you this week? Bought and used oatmeal / vanilla baby wash for me

    4. Do you still mail letters/cards to people or do you do it online? when i do it yea -cards at least-some friends i email

    5. Did you try a new food/ingredient this week? If not have you always wanted to try something but haven't?
    I tried a Lara Bar that is called 'jocalot'? chocolatey--very good

  6. 1. I usually eat protein first, unless the veggie looks exceptionally good!

    2. Are we talking healthy or not so healthy?? I would pick a perfectly grilled steak, twice baked potato, and some nice grilled veggies!

    3. Got a pedi

    4. I mail cards sometimes, but most correspondence is done online

    5. No, we seem to be stuck on chicken this week! I've always wanted to try oysters, but I can't stand to look at them, much less taste them!! My hubby loves them and is always trying to get me to taste one....maybe someday!

    I want to take a moment to say thanks to you Suzi...for all the nice, helpful, sweet comments you always leave on my blog...they are very much appreciated and looked forward to!!

  7. 1. When your eating what do you usually eat first: veggies, carbs or protein?? usually, it is a mix of them all anyway.

    2. What would be your perfect dinner? Spanish rice, refried beans, guacamole, sauteed vegetables (I really want Casa Vieja!)

    3. What is the one thing you did just for you this week? I wandered around the mall window shopping.

    nope

    5. Did you try a new food/ingredient this week? If not have you always wanted to try something but haven't? I retried honeydew and really enjoyed it. I also ate cantaloupe, which has never been a favorite, and enjoyed it as well.

    4. I mostly do everything online, but I still feel it's important to send tangible invites, birthday cards and thank you notes.

    5. I tried red quinoa. I'm not sure that I'm a fan yet.

  9. 1. veggies - i think i still view some veggies as the enemy so i always eat them first so i can then enjoy the good stuff!

    2. Steak, cooked to perfection so it melts in the mouth, mashed potato, baby carrots, shredded cabbage and a corn-on-the-cob (with butter). Hmmmm.

    3. Had a rest day instead of running, so that my shins could heal up.

    4. Inevitably, communication is done via email. Less personal, but you don't have to wait a week for an answer either!

    5. Made a gorgeous cauliflower soup which i've never done before.

    1. When your eating what do you usually eat first: veggies, carbs or protein?? Depends on what is on the plate! I usually attack the protein though.

    2. What would be your perfect dinner? Risotto and Sea Bass from my fave restaurant

    3. What is the one thing you did just for you this week? I guess the gym.

    4. Do you still mail letters/cards to people or do you do it online? Absolutely! I love sending random cards to people! I buy tons of blank ones and send them just because.

    5. Did you try a new food/ingredient this week? If not have you always wanted to try something but haven't? I made a quiche. I haven't done that in forever and it was a nice comfort food. I believe no food is off limits you just have to watch your portions. Life is too short not to eat great food!

    2~I'm a pasta lover...no wait...I love food!!! LOL
    3~I went shopping for boots and a new coat.
    4~I still send cards but not letters so much.
    5~nothing new this week. I've always wanted to try lotus flower but darn it, it's hard to find!!

  12. 1. I eat them equally, a little bit of everything at a time.
    2. Perfect dinner...hmmm...I would have to say pizza!!!
    3. This week I bought some new books - just for me!
    4. Every year I mail my grandmother birthday and christmas cards with pics of the kids inside. Other than that, I use email.
    5. This week I didn't try anything new. I'm a big chicken that way! :)

  14. (1)Taste the hot vegetables first, then anything goes.

    (2) Perfect dinner: Chicken Marsala with loads of mushrooms

    (3) For me: Took Monday afternoon off, met a friend for lunch, shopped in silly gift shops.

    (4) One chatty, upbeat Christmas letter and all the rest email. All thank you notes and notes of condolence by regular mail.

    (5) No new foods this week but last Friday I had Coconut Jasmine Rice Pudding.

    I'm weird. I layer my bites LOL I'll stick the protein on the fork first, then the veggie & then scoop the carb .. so they all go in at the same time LOL

    2. What would be your perfect dinner?

    Grilled chicken, corn on the cob, 1/2 a baked potato topped with salsa & a salad

    3. What is the one thing you did just for you this week? I got an updated version of a Bible program. My whole family uses it but it's for me because I really enjoy digging deep in to different Bibles when I study.

    4. Do you still mail letters/cards to people or do you do it online?

    Sadly most of my sending is done on line.

    I took a bite of breaded, baked cat fish today. I don't like it LOL (It may have been better with my husband's seasoning mix)

    No order at all. My step brother was wierd, still is. He had to eat all of one thing, then aother, and omg if two items ever touched on a plate.

    2. What would be your perfect dinner?
    Buffalo Wings wrapped in bacon wrapped in baby back ribs wrapped in bacon.

    3. What is the one thing you did just for you this week?
    I made cole slaw, nobody else eats it.

    4. Do you still mail letters/cards to people or do you do it online?
    Honestly not much real mail anymore, just some holiday cards is it.

    5. Did you try a new food/ingredient this week? If not have you always wanted to try something but haven't?
    Recently tried Almond Milk. taste is just fine but I am bummed at how much less protein t has than cows milk. Thus I doubt i will go back for more when this carton is empty.

    Now, veggies. Before I started on my journey: carbs.

    Anything grilled with a fresh salad and tons of home grown tomatoes and green beans

    3. What is the one thing you did just for you this week?
    Watched two fabulous movies: The ENglish Patient and the Constant Gardener

    4. Do you still mail letters/cards to people or do you do it online?
    Sometimes mail greeting cards, mostly on line.

    5. Did you try a new food/ingredient this week? If not have you always wanted to try something but haven't?
    No and nothing that I can think of, although I would like to eat more hot peppers so I am not afraid of them.
