I absolutely adore these!!

I have found a new snack: Apple chips!!

These are better than the ones you can buy! They are crispy and yummy :)

-apple washed not peeled but you can core them
-juice of a lemon
-5 cups water
-before i put them in the fridge i sprinkled some sugar and cinnamon on (not much i have a small container filled with this and i used it)

Put water and lemon juice in a big bowl
Slice your apples with a mandolin they really need to be the same size
Shake the water off of the apples and place them on a cooling rack on top of a baking sheet sprinkle the cinnamon sugar if you want to use it.
Bake in a 250 degree oven for 45-60 then turn them over and bake them another 45-60 minutes.

They can feel a little soft still but they crisp up as they cool.

Try them you'll become addicted and these would make awesome snacks for kids!!

These look fantastic! I may have to go buy a mandolin to do them right. What a great idea, Suzy. Thanks -

I attempted these this afternoon...I agree, an apple de-corer and mandolin slicer are necessary! They make your house smell so yummy while they cook though.

You didn't have a mandolin?? It would be hard without that! They are good though :)
