7. Sleep is very important

8. What goes around comes around!

9. Nobody knows everything (although i'm close, not :)

10. Walking is a great de-stressor

11. I'm never bored as long as i have a book nearby

13. Sometimes being hungry is not a bad thing and you won't suffer from it

14. My job is just a job. Don't takes stresses from it home

15. There is nothing like a good breakfast

I know when I was younger I thought there was a time we NAILED IT and rested on our laurels.

I think I learned that you only THINK you are happy when you are eating unhealthy and not exercising. I can say without a doubt that the feelings I get from eating healthy and better portions of food, getting my butt out of the recliner and getting my butt on the weight bench or the road are much more pleasant than the ones I got when I polished off a six meat pizza. That carb fog will do some wild things to you if you let it!

Great list - I think you've got things pretty much covered. I would add that finding some exercise that I like and will do consistently over time is more important than killer/boot camp/ouch-inducing sessions that leave me clock-watching. Have some fun!

There are no shortcuts. If you want to lose weight for good you have got to eat. Eating less than you should to see the scale move is only setting you up for future disappointment because you will gain it back.

1. One size never fits all
2. Consider the third option
3. Balance is everything
4. Never underestimate the power of the ordinary
5. People fear reflections of their deepest selves.

Gotta agree with #6...I have used herbs and spices so much more to try and add some zazz to otherwise plain veggies. Also, it's fun trying new stuff you've never had before (I tried Marrow for the first time recently, and it rocks!)

...and #18...so true, so very true.

Great list!!

I've learned;
~Be true to who you are.
~It's okay to struggle. Most people do at some point, even the ones who don't admit it.
~It's truly about health, not just the size.
~Always try something once.
~I am my hardest judge. It's not the end of the world if I mess up one day!

Have a great day Suzi :-)

Suzi...love this post. I see my twin cat in the picture. I think I agree with just about everything, but I really like #1, 2, 8 and I'm like you #9. I really like Di's comment - One size fits all...ha ha ha ha.

What I've learned...well, I'm learning constantly, but most importantly is "Everything doesn't have to have an explanation. You don't always need to know why it happened in order to solve the problem."

You can’t avoid offending people from time to time. When you don’t mean it, say you're sorry. When you do mean it, accept the consequences.

Forgive everyone - including yourself....
Me - myself....
I'm beginning to think that forgiveness
is the only way out of our self-made hell!

I've learned that if you eat healthy, you will just feel better in general. If you eat junk, you will feel sluggish, lethargic, & just downright awful.

I have learned that it is very important to take care of yourself and be kind to yourself

That it is important to grapple with uncertaintity.

Life is too short.

Ask good questions.

I am blessed with a great hubby and kids and their kids.

I love this post, I could do a HUGE post about Life Lessons:)

I am a late learner on looking after myself and still struggle with it at times. But I'm getting there:)
