Challenge day! Week 1

I've always considered drinking water to be a very important part of the journey to health. I know that i have 4 kidney stones but they haven't bothered me yet and i think drinking water really has kept them at bay :)

Here is some interesting information on what drinking water can do for weight loss!

So my challenge for you and i this week is to drink water daily and keep track of how much you drink if you can. From reading other blogs, weight watchers etc. they usually recommend 8 cups of water a day. Now i know some of you drink a lot more than that so this will be easy but some of us have a harder time getting it in.

Maybe put a slice of lemon, lime or even orange in to help you drink more. I've even heard of restaurants putting a slice of cucumber in :) I usually make a deal with myself. If i want a tea or coffee no problem but i must drink a glass of water first! That's definitely helps me. Any other tips??

Just e-mail me at watrmlon@gmail.com on Saturday December 11 and let me know how the challenge went for you! You just need to tell me how many days you managed to chug your water, if you don't want to tell me how much that is up to you  :) I will post the results next Sunday as well as the next challenge.

These challenges are just to remind us of the small things that can add up to help us stay healthy.

Nobody has to do the challenges every week unless they want to. Just join in the ones you'd like to participate in!

These are my fellow bloggers (they all have awesome blogs) that have let me know they'd like to participate. Feel free to visit their blogs! Just click on their names. Theresa i don't think has one but i'm so glad she is doing these challenges with us.

Michele encouraged me to get on my bike and feel the wind in my hair

Yeah! I started the day with a quart of water.

I keep a quart sized canning jar filled with water and drink from it throughout the day. :)

Yay - It's been a while since I've done a challenge.
Or a tag thing. This is gonna be fun.
Like "our Kelly," I too start the day with water - about 20 oz... before I do anything else. Room temp...that's cold enough when you down the whole thing, eh?

It's so cold out right now. I usually opt for a hot herbal tea over water when it's so cold. It's still water. It helps me to have a 'drinking' schedule. lol

I'm going to have to start this challenge tomorrow also.. I'm far from being one who drinks their water the way they should during the day... I'm lucky to drink 48oz. of water per day.. but, I'm going to try my best to do better!
Thank you so much for your sweet comments here and on my blog too! I'd love to sit down and talk and have coffee or tea with you sometime!

Blessings,
~Lynn
