A very nice day!!

My sweetener free day is going to be tomorrow! Wish me good luck because this is going to be hard.

I started today with an awesome chocolate/peanut butter/banana protein pancake with some sugar free syrup!
Absolutely delish!

This afternoon i went to a games afternoon where i volunteer for people with mental health issues! So much fun. There were cookies and muffins and candy canes, and all i had all afternoon was a few bottles of water :) Well that and the food i took with me.

Before i went out i put a pork roast in the slow cooker so dinner was pretty much ready when i got home.

Exercise for today?? Well i got off the bus early on the way to the meeting and got a ride part way home to i could get some more time in! Ended up walking 55 minutes.

How is your day going? Hope your having a happy healthy day!

  1. It was a good day here, but not an exciting day. Mostly just the same old stuff and the weather is dreary and gray. I need to check the forecast and see what is ahead. Sounds like you had a wonderful day and good for you for visiting with the mentally ill people. Speaking as one of them, it means a lot when people show they aren't afraid of you. :)

  2. I too would have a hard time with NO sugar what so ever. I have honey atleast once a day! I was using SF Jam and I just switched to simply fruit. It taste so much better and just 40 clories for a TBS. To me it is worth it. Plus it is all natural no spleanda or anything. It is nice here today in arizona 73 right now at 304 in the afternoon.. Have a great evening!

  3. Love the fact that you brought your own food to that meeting. That is my ticket, too, to success.

Beautiful day in MN, although I will not skate today. Arms way too sore from "bracing" myself so I don't fall. But a good walk coming up. Isn't winter great when you embrace it???

  5. You are a trooper, bringing your own food along. How's that for commitment? The pancake looks so yummy, I can taste it through the screen. Good luck on your sugar free day off, Suzi. You can do it.

  6. Do you notice a decline or increase in coffee sales in January? I have no idea what way it might go? More back to "normal"??

  8. You can do the no sugar day. Just remind yourself it is only for 1 day and you'll be fine!

  9. I didn't know you volunteered at a mental health facility. That makes you very special in my book. Thanks for helping others in that way.

As usual your food pics look smart and healthy.

    Good luck tomorrow!

  12. I love SeaWeed.... I had a patient who would only eat it when it was from Taiwan. NOT mainland China.
    Interesting!
And the challenge.... I'd have to say it's more like an awareness issue right now. I never realized how much artificial drinks i have. Diet Ginger Ale is my current fave. And I think we should all buy stock in Canada Dry! But for one day, I think I can do it for the sake of calling it a challenge proper!

  13. Good for you!! Uh, roasted seaweed? Is it good? What does seaweed taste like?

Oh, and thanks for the suggestion with the PB2...I have some dark chocolate cocoa powder I might try mixing in next time!
