Challenge Day! Results and Week 9 challenge

Thanks everyone for participating in last weeks no added salt challenge we really did see how much salt we have been using! It was an eye opener for sure.


Debbie who agreed to join this challenge but knew it was going to be a hard one! I'm not sure  how it went.
Sheilagh who doesn't use much salt anyway, so she aced this challenge
Jen gave this challenge a good go! She uses salt for cooking but doesn't usually add any after.
Kelly managed to really kick this challenge :)
Anne who watched her sodium this week and managed to beat this challenge!!
Dawn joined us in the challenge this week but i'm not sure how it went. Let us know in the comments.
Lynn who joined this challenge, let us know how it went.
Me :) This week definitely made me stop and realize how many times i would have grabbed the salt!
Auntie Mandy made this work for her!
Jeniffer  absolutely loves her pepper so this was pretty easy for her :)
Me only better who managed to do this challenge and really took a good look at the sodium in foods!
Sassy Susie who really paid attention focused so she didn't use salt
~Darla~ who stayed away from salt all week! She even left the little carrots alone :)
Patrick who already knew he'd complete the challenge because he leaves the salt shaker alone!
Karen who did great staying away from the salt but don't you dare touch her pepper :)
Andi  didn't quite give up the salt but she used a lot less! We're proud of  you kiddo
Kathy also joined us and not only didn't use it but didn't miss it!! Go  you
Sugar thanks for joining us, let us know how it went
Weightingfor50 took this challenge and won! She used none at home and when she went out she went with the flow :)
Midlifeswimmer i'm pretty sure she took this challenge but i don't know whether she could give up garlic salt

This weeks challenge:

Go one full week without weighing yourself! Unless you go to weight watchers/tops etc or your in a challenge.
I weigh myself everyday so this will be a hard one for me!! I know for some of you this will be really easy, but for some of us it will be hard.

I don't know if I can do this one. I weight every morning to see what the trend is. It is sort of a ritual for me. If the scale goes up, I watch my calories a little closer. Plus, being in the challenge I like to know ahead of time how things are going.

I can do this...I have no scale. Does that count? LOL! Glad you achieved your goal for last week...hats off to you and all the other participants.

This one is sooooooooooooo easy for me, I only weigh once a week, same time same place same spot on the floor.

i don't agree with weighing every day, it gives false hopes or disillausionment.

Well, I weighed in this morning and wouldn't usually weigh in until next Sunday anyway. I quit weighing daily a few weeks ago and like the weekly thing much better. Good luck to all you daily weigher-inners, I know this one can be tough!

Suzy, This is Karen. I am signing up for Bethany. She is at work and can't get online but she wants to do the challenge. :) She isn't as obsessive about the scale as I am.

I want to be in this one because its fool proof. My husband and I only weigh once a week and that is on Saturdays and on the Wii...long story...So All I have to do is skip next SATURDAYS weigh in...count me in

Can I do my daily body test on the Wii and keep my eyes closed and not look at my weight? I haven't missed a day in 18 weeks!

I'll do this, Suzi. I have my weigh in tomorrow and I must admit that from time to time I peek; just to drive myself crazy. One week no weighing after the weigh in - I'm in!

I am in sweetie :) I missed last week, but I didn't add any extra salt all week so I was good.

Tomorrow is my weigh in day at W/Ws but I will try after that for the rest of the week. It will be hard though as it is the first thing I do every morning...YIKES!!!

YES !!! I am in on this one ! I have gotten into a routine of weighing each morning however I beleive I CAN not do it for a week. I put a note on the scale to remind me NOT to weigh myself until next Sunday !

Oh I so love this one!! I am actually becoming I think too obsessed with the scale. It will be a great break I think to only weigh once. I'm in :)

I failed last week but only one day really so I'm not too upset about it. Ya win some, ya lose some :)

I'll play along this week. When I'm on track I weigh myself every day, but I haven't been weighing at all lately. Perhaps I can reverse-psychology myself here by not being ALLOWED to weigh in, I'll actually WANT to and be relieved by the end of the week when I CAN again.

I totally rocked this week.. I used mrs dash instead :)
Although I gained two pounds.. I know it was because my lack of exercise and no water.. but my blood pressure stayed lowish. :)

This will be easy for me! I was thinking I should stop "talking" to my weight scale anyway--it had the gall to tell me I gained back every single bit of the just over 3 pounds I thought I had lost by working incredibly hard for the last couple of months! So--take that, weight scale--I'm not going to speak to you for a week! Ha!
