Calling all fellow challengers :)

This weeks challenge was to eat without distraction at least once per day!

Did I manage to do this challenge?? Well yes and no. I managed to do it once a day for 3 days but I was really having a hard time staying on plan for the last few days.

This is one of the hardest challenges I've done so far.

How did you do?? Did you manage to do it some days, everyday, or at all :) How did you find it affected your eating??

Tomorrow will be a new challenge.

I've been trying to only eat, when I'm eating, no computer screen, no television and no reading. It's a challenge to attend to only one activity at a time. It's a principal tenet of Zen Buddhists, not that I am one, to do one thing at a time giving it all your concentration and attention. Since reading about that I've come to realize in today's world I seldom do one thing at a time. When I read, I listen to music, when I watch television I often surf on my laptop. It's a busy, active world and it does seem as if I can slow it down, and do myself some good, by keeping to one thing at a time.

I did great on this challenge! Didn't think I would since I ALWAYS watch tv or am on the computer when I eat. It was a nice change! I actually had some great thoughts and ideas with my mind being free.

Sun. = √ (supper)
Mon. = √ (supper)
Tues. = √ (lunch)
Wed. = √ (breakfast)
Thurs. = √ (part of supper)
Fri. = √ (lunch)
Sat. = √ (breakfast)

I've given you an award.

I think I did it one moment...
For about one second.
So..... technically - no.
But I tried - does that count?
I was mindful of my mindless eating, at least!

I did really well on this challenge, I actually like less distractions while eating.
