I didn't go on twitter much or blog much this weekend. I really needed to decide what I needed to focus on to help me get even closer to my goal, and I have to say I have a new bounce in my step :)
Today I needed to go to the office where I volunteer for a meeting!
First though I made brekkie so I’d have lots of energy today Unfortunately I’m not picking up more groceries until tomorrow so I need to use up whatever I have! Pumpkin protein pancake with raspberries and some syrup.
For this weeks challenge I sat down last night and planned my food for today and I figured that the easiest way to get some exercise in was to walk home from the meeting. Well, take a bus part way and then walk the rest of the way J Works for me. Beautiful weather plus some exercise is an unbeatable combination. It was so beautiful that I came home on the bus and went out into the woods!
I grabbed a protein drink, tomatoes, muffin and a banana because they were both easy to grab and delish.
I read somewhere yesterday, I can’t remember where , but it was that we should live as though we are where we want to be. Not put our thoughts way ahead to the future, way out of our grasp. To live life now and not be thinking we can’t live life till we get to where we want to be. We really need to start feeling good about ourselves now, not think that we will feel better about ourselves once we lose x amount of weight… or once we stick to our eating plan perfectly…or once we have more money. We need to be as kind to ourselves as we are to others. I know I'm rambling :)
Anyway here are some pictures from my walk. Notice the weird duck!

Funny - your "planning" challenge had a kind of introspective effect on me! I didn't like what I saw, at first - because I tend to be on the undisciplined side...
But now I know I can change that, too! Bit by bit!
So it's all good - I gots a pep back in my step, too!
So, thanks, SS!
Yes, looking too far ahead doesn't work for me as I end up dwelling on how far it is to go. It's much simpler for me to look at the day I'm in and try to do things right this one day. I think it's a bit like looking up to the top of a mountain. You know you can get there but it's really high and far away. If you only look at the peak, you're bound to lose your footing and trip over something right under your feet.
I agree that we need to live for today, great advice Suzi. Great pictures too as always. Glad you got your walk in.
Beautiful pics Suzi! Thanks for sharing, way to plan :) and get some exercise!
I definitely stopped worrying about what-ifs and the future and focused on the daily, short-term horizon :)
It works for me to celebrate and focus one very meal, day, hour, workout...to avoid feeling overwhelmed!
Lovely pictures!
This is the only life we've got, so we might as well make the most of it!

Thank you for clearing that up :) He was mighty impressive. I think that's the first time I've seen one.
Love the cardinal: I can almost hear him singing out!
We can definitely be quite hard on ourselves. When we are kind, we do respond with better effort for ourselves and those around us.
