Since it was too hot to walk outside I decided to do the first dvd without using the resistance bands.
Not!!
I don't know whether it was yesterdays heat or a painkiller I took but my stomach is doing somersaults.
So today I'm inhaling gravol and sipping water and basically being a couch potato. Really hope I can do that workout tomorrow!
Here's a picture of my hand, don't look if your squeamish! This is with my hand cupped when it's straight it looks even longer :( 2o+ stitches I'm not allowed to straighten my hand for another 5 weeks.

I was getting the pit out of an avocado the knife slipped and cut the base of my middle finger. Unfortunately I severed 2 tendons, a nerve and an artery!!
When you do that the tendon retracks and a plastic surgeon needs to find it :(
I'm in a splint with bent fingers for 6 weeks, 2x a week hospital therapy and more weeks of therapy after the splint comes off. Yeah it totally sucks

You know that everytime I'm cutting an avocado now you pop into my head! LOL That looks super sore. Hope it heals up nice and quickly for you and that your stomach settles down.
Oh wow, that is pretty dramatic! That's crazy. Well, just glad you didnt lose a finger.

That looks very painful, sister. Flat Coke always settles my stomach. Also try some Seven-Up or Sprite, and saltine crackers. I always keep that stuff in my house.

I too had an avocado pit accident a few years ago. Fortunately, my kids were just old enough to leave alone at home (of course, my husband had just left on a business trip!) and I rushed off to the clinic which is only a block away, my hand held high in the air and swaddled in a dish towel.
Those avocados--a lot more dangerous than anyone could imagine.

Oh my goodness!!!!! I don't know if I'll ever cut into an avocado again! It is so hot that I may go back to my Lesley videos too. I like the 5 miles with resistance bands, although it takes forever.
I hope you heal quickly!
I still love avocados but I definitely do not use a knife on them!!
I think I'll be more comfortable once the stitches are out next Tuesday.
The splint is very uncomfortable in this heat :(

Miss Suzy, your surgeon did an excellent job repairing the butchering of yourself you did. That looks GREAT! Keep up the therapy and exercises. Hope it continues to improve.

Oh my word girl. I disappear and you try to slice off your fingers. I hope that rehabbing is going well and that is quit the scar!
