During the weekend I did a lot of thinking. Since my sprained ankle/hand injury/cold I seem to not have a regular daily/weekly health routine any more!! It's been about 6 months since I've had any real routine.
So I thought about what behaviours worked for me in the past and what didn't.
I not only thought about it I made a list and listed the good and the bad and the downright ugly down in my journal.
So I'm doing a personal 30 day challenge. Starting today. For me.
It's simple, easy to follow and totally do-able!! I am not willing to re-injure myself so I will be slowly increasing my workouts but I am willing to work hard.
And the best thing is that when (not if) I complete the first 30 day challenge there will be some awesome rewards including some new makeup or a Tassimo coffee machine!! Oh yes I definitely want to go shopping for these :)
So what is my plan??
Some I already do and some I need to do:
To lose 10 pounds in the next 30 days. (I'll update my weight loss weekly)
Drink at least 10 cups of water every day
To exercise for at least 30 minutes 4 days a week
To use no more than 6 sweeteners a day-should be do-able since I won't be using crystal lights
Drink pure water no crystal light
Only drink wine twice a week!
I've made a list of meals/foods that are tasty and easy to put together. This way I can quickly pick out choices that I know the nutrition of and that I have in the fridge and cupboards. I'll be eating between 1200 and 1300 or 29 weight watcher points. At 5'0" that's lots.
I'm staying accountable by daily/weekly updates on my challenge here on my blog :) I have the best readers and I know if I have any questions or need to vent I can do so here and get some awesome feedback!
So how is Day 1 going??
Food: Really enjoyed my food today and stayed within the calories I've chosen. Oh and I tried my first kombucha drink. Not bad at all!
Water: I'm swimming in water today :) Just kidding, kinda! Definitely drank more than 10 cups
Exercise: 55 minutes of walking around and 42 minutes of very brisk walking with my walking group that makes 1/4 so far this week
Sweeteners: only used 4 today and if I use any more I will update this post
Crystal light: None
Wine: having one tonight that makes 1/2

Good luck with your personal challenge, Suzy. I know you can do it. Your food porn always looks so good and makes me hungry. Dail is doing dinner tonight and after seeing your photos I'm starving. :)

I have owned a Tassimo, great little machine. I love Bare Minerals, use the makeup. Love your challenge, very doable. I have one question what is kambucha?
kombucha is a fermented tea drink. It is honestly unlike any else I've had. But really not bad. It's supposed to be good for you just like other fermented foods.

Day 2 is going great! I started with blueberry cheesecake oats (will give recipe in today's post) and a couple of coffees with massive foam :)
Went to the mall and instead of eating in the food court I took a protein drink, a bottle of water and bought a camomile tea(no sweetener)
Now I'm off on a walk....
