I conquered the Chinese buffet!!

Friends of Ralph and I decided they were taking us to King's Buffet a Chinese buffet for our birthdays.

Now my first thought was oh no that's definitely going to put me way over in calories/fat/carbs :(  But then I decided I would make a plan for what I was going to eat there and stick to it!

There's always lots of fruits and veggies. So I made sure to get those and I also did my homework and I decided I had enough calories etc for beef and broccoli and chow mein :) Unfortunately they didn't have chow mein so I just took some plain bean sprouts and put a few shrimp on it!

I also made sure to have a hearty breakfast of cookie dough oats! Funny thing there's absolutely no cookies in it but there is cashew butter.

I did decide that I'd better get some extra exercise today so I went on another walk, plus I used my foam roller (ouch) and believe it or not I lifted some weights!!

The foam roller is going to take a bit of getting used to. Anyone with any favourite moves or tips??? I think my IT band was the most tender when I was rolling it.

Great job with the chinese buffet!I loved your idea of using sprouts instead of chow mein with your shrimp. Your dinner looked delicious and healthy! Maybe now I will have some ideas for next time I go.

It's amazing how much a little foam roller can hurt :)
But it feels so good after. It and a tennis ball can be your best friend if you let them :)
I found, in the Core Performance for Women book there are tonnes of ideas to do with a roller and tennis ball. They have a website too with videos too if I remember correctly.
