Yes this is the day I ramp up my walking :) I take walking up a couple of notch's. I definitely workout harder, breathing is a bit harder and I sweat like crazy.
Rain is forecast for today but I'm hoping to get out before it comes. If not I'll get wet! I'm not made of candy so I'll live.
I have a confession to make. I've upped my daily calories. Still tracking. But they're upped enough that I don't feel like I'm "dieting". I'm satisfied. No cravings. And the best part is that the scale is still going down. Slowly but surely most days I'm going down .2 or .6. And you know what?? I'm loving it!!!
Now it may not keep doing that and if so I'll have to tweak it some more. But for now I'm doing what works for me and I'm very happy with it :) I used to laugh when someone would tell me they could eat 1300 calories or 1400 and still lose but I'm not laughing at them any more.
So on with my day!
Today started with one of my favourite brekkies oatmeal. I had oats, pumpkin, cranberries, cinnamon and sweetener all cooked up together and at the very end I put a beaten egg white in and stir and stir and they come up fluffy and creamy. Then I put a dollop of home made cranberry sauce on top. Kefir and coffee were on the side. See Lyn I do have Kefir every day :)
Then it was off on my walk. Misty but not too wet! 52 minute interval walk in today.
Lunch was a protein shake made with almond breeze, protein, and banana. 3 molasses balls on the side.
Dinner tonight was whole wheat pasta, with meatballs and sauce, topped with some light parm cheese.
Believe it or not I couldn't eat it all :)
Got all my water in today!
Glad I went out for my walk earlier because now it's hailing/raining/windy :(
How did your day go today?? Tomorrow's question day can't wait to see your answers and I won't forget to post mine.

The pasta and meatballs look especially good, Suzy. Great interval walk. Bethany and I were a little lazy today. We didn't work out.
Hey Suzie,
That's great that you have hardened your walking up :).
Your following the 2012 Superfoods Challenge as posted by the fabulous Lyn as well, I have started this weeks yogurt but I have never heard of Kefir and have no idea what I would eat it with.
I was also wondering have you done a post on these mysterious molasses balls, I noticed you mention quite frequently and they have me intrigued.
xx
Here's what the people who make the kefir I have say.
Kefir is a refreshing probiotic drink cultured with authentic kefir grains from the Caucasus in Russia. With over 88 billion bacteria per serving of 240 ml, more than any yogurt, it’s the champagne of probiotic milk beverages.
The history and tradition of kefir are as old as its reputation as a health product. In the countries of the one-time Soviet Union, kefir was used to treat stomach ulcers, gastric illnesses, chronic enteritis, bronchitis and pneumonia.
As with most other probiotic products, a dose of kefir is recommended daily for its full benefits to take effect. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by its effervescence. Liberté Kefir contains 20 different kinds of bacteria and yeast. A single tablespoon (15 ml) a day yields 5 billion beneficial bacteria
I just take 2 tbsp every morning. I find mine in the health food dairy section.
The molasses balls I made and froze they're not that good and I'm just eating them rather than throwing them away :)
Thats great Suzi! Keep it up!
I am a firm believer in eating more food to lose weight. Too often we want to drop the calories to 1200 automatically when we really don't need to.
Hooray for more food!
When I went below 800... in the 500 range... I GAINED!!!! NOW I count every bite so that won't happen again!
Sounds like you're doing great, and in a good frame of mind.
Explain this egg white in the oatmeal thing? Do you add it when the oatmeal is done or when its still boiling? Would love to bulk up the protein on my oatmeal days... my fav right now is alittle bit of cocoa powder, splenda, vanilla extract and fresh berries...delish!
My oatmeal is usually oats, pumpkin, lots of cinnamon, a cup of almond milk and a cup of water. Double the liquid is a Hungry Girl idea that I love.
Today I made cranberry sauce and as I was putting it away I thought how good it would be on my oatmeal and yogurt. Now I see you've already thought of it too. :)
I've been curious about your egg white in the oatmeal too. It seems like it would "scramble".
Doesn't matter what fixings I put in I can use the egg white :)
I prefer to do this on the stove just because it's easier to stir stir stir.
When the oats are just finished cooking I take an egg white (if from a carton i just put it in, if from an egg I whip it with a fork a bit)and add it to the pan and stir stir stir. It increases the volume and makes it creamy. Just make sure you keep stirring for a minute or two :)
Honestly it doesn't curdle and Lori findingradiance.com does it too :)
Just make sure you stir it well!! Don't be scared to try it.
What a pretty place to walk! Looks like you had a great day :).
