I'm finally starting to feel better! I woke up coughing once last night. Got up and drank a bottle of water took my inhaler and then slept in :) I'm so happy to be sleeping better.
A fellow worker asked if she could take my shift today and I said absolutely no problem. So my weekend is on. Not that I'm off to party but it gives me any extra day off.
Last night a customer who works in a retirement home came in and asked if I was taking oil of oregano to help fight this bug. My Dr had advised me to a while ago but he wanted me to take the one under the tongue and it was so strong it would make my eyes run. She said she takes a super concentrated oil of oregano capsule, once a day. When she feels she might be coming down with something she takes 2 a day and hasn't had a cold in years!!!! I'm going to give it a try, I'm willing to try anything to not go through this again. Anyone else take oil of oregano??
So today I've taken the time to plan my weeks nosh. Pencil and paper and eraser :) It does take time but it really saves me time in the end.
Since I'm feeling better I'm back to drinking my water before each meal, back to making an exercise schedule and back to kicking my scales butt :)
Today was going to be a rest day from exercise however, it was gorgeous today and tomorrow is supposed to be rain. So I decided to do an interval walk. I really got my heart rate up!
Breakfast: oats, banana, egg white, walnuts, cinnamon, 2 Tbsp kefir and 2 Tbsp cream for coffee
Lunch: veggies, brown rice crackers, cheese and berries
Dinner: fish and chips with brussels sprouts and a glass of red wine
