Weekly update

This weekend was healthy heart weekend at Lori's blog! Last year I think I forgot to do it but this year I'd set my phone to remind me that I needed to workout today :) Thanks Lori for organizing this event.

I ended up walking for 66 minutes on a pretty cold day.
As of 4:30 this afternoon:

Today is also my weekly update. The scale showed the same as last week and I'm perfectly o.k with that as I had a few days last week that were not so good.

My challenge for the past week was to do 2 weight workouts. I did both of them :) Boo Ha!!

Julie, Holly, Biz, MaryFran and Karla how did you guys do this week?? Click on the names to go to their great blogs.

This weeks challenge is going to be to do one ab/core exercise every day this week. This site has lots of different ones to choose from. Remember only do what you can do don't hurt yourself.

Tomorrow is Family Day here in Ontario Canada and everything is closed so I'm going to stick around the house and get some cleaning done and will probably get a walk in as well. I think I'll choose to do a plank for tomorrows core exercise. I will let you know which exercises I choose and feel free to leave comments on what you are doing as well. It definitely helps to motivate me :)

Here's my thought for today:

Today's nosh:

Breakfast: 1 egg, bacon and an orange. 5% cream for coffee

Lunch: Sweet potato nachos and yes they were as good as they look! Very easy just slice the sweet potatoes quite thin and bake with a spray of non stick and some herbs until cooked and browning. Then add whatever you like. Today I chose light cheddar cheese, lettuce, olives, green onions, avocado, Greek yogurt and cherry tomatoes.

Dinner: Hubs loved this last time so I made the home made hamburger helper again with a side of roasted broccoli that I'd drizzled with olive oil

Glass of red wine after dinner

Well Suzi I did the two weight workouts plus a few miles of hiking. I'll work hard on a daily core exercise and see how well that goes. I love that you come up with what needs to be done. Thank you.
I was going to try and do a post tonight but on top of everything now my sister is in the ICU and I'm not thinking good enough to even try and put things into a post.
Goood luck this week. Blessings!

Wowza, that's some cold weather!! Good for you on getting out there!

I was pretty sore after my 100 workout, but am happy I did it - thanks for the inspiration on getting some strength training in!

I showed your sweet potato nachos to my husband last night from facebook - he about threw up, but I think they would be great!
